This word, which Jesus speaks to blind Bartimaeus, is the motto of the 104th German Catholic Congress 2026. This word is also spoken to us in a time that requires more courage than ever. Jesus sets people on their feet, he encourages them to trust the call to life, to keep moving and to allow change.

The Spiritual Exercises, which culminate in the Holy Week of the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ, are a way of re-engaging with the call that is made to each of us personally. Biblical and literary encouragement will help us to do this.
