Accompanied time-out, spiritual days, creative programmes
Sela.Christian Yoga combines the techniques of yoga with the Christian faith tradition. Biblical thoughts and texts are embodied in yoga postures. Sela is the Hebrew word for active pauses in psalm prayers. Space is left between the verses to breathe and fully grasp the content of what is being said.
Those who combine prayer and reflection on biblical and Christian texts with breathing and silence and concentrated movement can gain a broader access to their own creatureliness: As a human being, I am God's counterpart. Created by God and ventilated. My body is the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit.
The Sela.Christian yoga class offers an active time-out that strengthens body awareness, awakens the joy of movement, conveys concentration and mindfulness in movement, meditation, breathing and stillness.
We calmly perceive the images and longings that arise within us and allow them to flow through our hearts and hands into a sculpture. We skilfully combine matches and bamboo sticks or bronze-look figures to create a small work of art.
Please bring clothes suitable for yoga and a painting smock.
