Each of us experiences injuries in our lives. What matters is how we deal with our wounds. Hildegard of Bingen (1098–1179) says: „The art of becoming human consists in transforming wounds into pearls.“

First, we exchange experiences that we remember gratefully and that we do not want to lose. What has taken us effort, what has distorted our lives, or what still burdens us, we note on slips of paper that we then burn in silence (in prayer). With this ash as a structural element and with acrylic paints, each person paints a picture of hope on the canvas.

The offer supports our willingness not to suppress wounds but to let them transform, integrate them, and not remain trapped in self-pity.
What is required is openness and a joy in creative work.
