Seminar content:

In this foundation course, participants acquire basic knowledge and games for puppet manipulation. They learn to move the puppets in such a way that they develop a convincing independent life. The use of puppets is suitable for educational and therapeutic fields, as well as for theatre work and video recordings.

In particular, REDUCTION as a core element of puppetry is explored. Human movements are observed and then transferred to the puppet.

Furthermore, singing with the mouth-puppet figures, playing at the play bar and open puppetry are practised.

Note:

Industrially made puppets (Living Puppets, Folkmanis, Kumquats, etc.) are not suitable for this course! Bodo Schulte brings along numerous practice figures.

Please bring along:

• comfortable clothing (black)
• Notepad and writing materials
• Muppet-style puppets (if any)
